Very Professional and always willing to go the extra mile to help out a client. I have used them twice. Once to install new carpet and this past July to refinish some hardwood stairs. They are considerate of your time, their product is top quality and their price is fair. I will use them again when needed.

Very Professional

I had a great experience with Floors Etcetera. They refinished my floors, and they did an excellent job—double excellent. I'd recommend them to anybody. It was A-quality work.

Great Experience

I had an absolutely positive experience with them. I would say Floors Etcetera is A+. I've already recommended them.

Already recommended them

It was pretty much effortless for us. They brought samples, measured, and laid 1,500 square feet of carpet. They're an A.

They're an A

MAINTENANCE and CARE

OVERVIEW

Your new Floors Etc. flooring represents a substantial investment in your home. An investment that you’ll want to keep looking its best for many years to come. No flooring lasts forever, but by following the maintenance tips outlined below, you’ll extend the life and beauty of your floor.

Prevention is the easiest way to keep your new floor looking like new.

  • Put brand new felt pads on all furniture before each piece is set in place in order to protect your new investment. – We will provide you with these upon request

    • Even if you already have felt pads on your furniture, they could have picked up dust and small debris over time or during a move that could scratch and damage your floor’s new finish.

    • Don’t forget to replace these felt stickers occasionally since they wear down and may have dirt trapped in them.

  • Keep it clean!

    • Buy a good quality broom and sweep your new floor at least once a week.

    • Reduce dust - a major source of scratching - by using a dry microfiber mop in between sweeping.

    • A good vacuum cleaner is also must (Floors Etc. recommends without a beater bar).

  • Use mats or rugs, especially in high traffic areas like entrances to trap dust, dirt and other particles

  • Take off your shoes.

  • Don’t drag or slide heavy furniture or appliances across room.

    • Pick these pieces up to move – even if only a few feet.

  • If you have pets in the home, follow our tips for Floor Care with Fur Babies

Floors Etc. Pro Tip

If you really want to keep the dirt / scuff marks off your new floor, leave your shoes at the door! Also be sure to wear slippers or socks on your new floors. Your feet have oil on them that will transfer onto your floor’s surface.

Cleaning techniques vary depending on the flooring type as well as the finish.
